A Pumpkin Prayer

The pictures are positively charming, capturing the essence of the autumn season in bright, cheerful tones.  The theme is A Pumpkin Prayer of thanks—for the wind and the leaves and family and friends and all the colors that autumn brings.A Pumpkin Prayer

My girls particularly appreciated the page with the little mice sitting on an ear of corn while roasting marshmallows over a fire.  It even displays a cheerful, glowing pumpkin—but without any more hint of the Halloween season.

Geared towards ages 1-5, it was an instant hit with my girls who fall right within that age bracket.  I’m excited about Tommy Nelson’s new “Time to Pray” series because of how it encourages little ones to thank God for their blessings, “naming them one by one” as the old hymn goes.
