Photographing your life

While knitting this afternoon I read How to Photograph Your Life by Nick Kelsh. Anyone who owns a camera needs to read this book.Great photography is really built on such basic concepts. Anyone can learn the principles of spectacular photography, but almost everyone tends to neglect them.

I’m really enjoying the easy to remember concepts and the visual comparisons in Kelsh’s book. He shows you the kind of picture anyone would normally take, then he shows you how to take another shot of that same scene, and make it breath-taking.

Own a camera? Read the book.

  1. I bought this books years ago on your recommendation, Gretchen, and just discovered it again this past week! It IS a treasure trove of ideas and suggestions for those of us who capture life with a lens and not just a pen (or laptop!). 馃檪
