look
I look down and I see my wrinkles and rolls, stretch marks and blemishes. I see legs that are anything but tanned and an outfit devoid of style.
I look up and I see their bright eyes and a beautiful smile. I see shoulders that hug and arms that hold. I see hairs that He numbers.
When I look down, I see only myself. But when I look up, I see others the way He sees me.
When I look down, I’m self-conscious. When I look up, I am free to think of others.
Beautiful Gretchen! I’m right there with you 🙂
Wonderful post! Our view really changes our perspective. 🙂

We have to keep looking up, for that’s when we get His perspective! Enjoyed my visit from the FMF!
WOW! So well said in such a short space. I really appreciate the perspective you point out, “When I look down, I see only myself. But when I look up, I see others the way He sees me. When I look down, I’m self-conscious. When I look up, I am free to think of others.” Thank you for posting this – visiting from 5MinFri @ Lisa-Jo’s.
